Algeria’s representative to the UN Security Council, Amar Benjamaa, said that the Council’s repeated failure to adopt a resolution to stop the war in Gaza is “a disgrace,” accusing the body of being unable to act in the face of genocide happening before its eyes.
His remarks came after the Security Council once again failed to pass a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza due to another US veto.
