The United Nations General Assembly adopted a draft resolution in support of the “New York Declaration,” which calls for the implementation of a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, “explicitly excluding Hamas from the process.”
The resolution passed with overwhelming support: 142 countries voted in favor, 12 opposed, and 10 abstained.
