A total of 185 people in Gaza died from hunger and malnutrition in August, Gaza’s health ministry has said, warning that the catastrophic effects of famine in the enclave are worsening.
In a statement on Tuesday, the health ministry added more than 70 people, including 12 children, had died since the global hunger monitor, “the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC),” confirmed a famine was occurring in Gaza.
