Israeli forces raid area around school in Silwan during parents’ protest

Israeli forces on Monday raided the area around a boys’ middle school in Silwan as parents and students staged a protest against what they described as Israel’s repressive education policies.

Local sources said troops entered the vicinity of Silwan Preparatory School for Boys while residents and students were demonstrating against attempts to relocate the school and impose Israel’s curriculum. Protesters were given only a few minutes to disperse.
