Senior Hamas official Taher Al-Nunu expressed his hopes that the new proposal crafted by mediators, and accepted by the Hamas Movement, would mark the beginning of a pathway toward halting the war in Gaza.
In televised remarks on Monday evening, Al‑Nunu said that the proposal, approved by both Hamas and other Palestinian factions, represents a compromise between the previous stances of the factions and Israel’s earlier position.
