Gaza’s Ministry of Health Director-General, Munir Al-Bursh, said that pregnant women and their unborn children face a daily, life-threatening danger even before birth.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Al-Bursh explained that the Strip is home to more than 55,000 pregnant women, almost all of whom suffer from acute shortages of essential nutritional supplements such as iron, calcium, and folic acid, in addition to the lack of balanced nutrition.
