Gaza death toll tops 55,000 since October 7, 2023, Hamas health ministry says

Gaza’s health ministry said that the death toll in Gaza has surpassed 55,000 Palestinians since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas War on October 7, 2023.

The ministry said that 120 people were killed in the enclave by Israeli fire in the last 24 hours, adding that 57 of those killed were waiting in line at the aid distribution sites.
