Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced its decision to release the US-Israeli captive soldier Eitan Alexander on Monday.

Abu Obeida made the announcement in a brief statement on his Telegram channel.

According to media sources, a temporary ceasefire is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. local time and end with the release of soldier Edan Alexander.
