Detained Anti-Genocide Student Rumeysa Ozturk Wins Court Order as U.S. Judge Questions Political Motive

Washington (Quds News Network)- A U.S. federal judge has ruled in favor of detained student Rumeysa Ozturk, ordering her transfer from Louisiana to Vermont so a court can review claims that her arrest violated her constitutional rights.

District Court Judge William S. Sessions issued the order on Friday. He said Ozturk presented significant evidence that her detention may be politically motivated and meant to punish her for protected speech.
