In Gaza, distance is no longer measured in kilometers, nor time in minutes or hours. Time has become the wait for death, or for temporary survival. The distance between your house and a so-called “safe place” is simply the distance between you and the end.
As for money, it has lost all meaning. Even two thousand dollars today may not buy you the shade of a tent or rent you an abandoned patch of land to shelter you from the hell of bombardment.
