In one of the destroyed classrooms of a shelter center in Gaza City, citizen Sajeda Al-Baba sat beside her eight-year-old son, Rajab, who suffers from a severed leg and multiple fractures in his small body. His laughter and his bicycle are no longer part of the family’s daily life. What remains are intermittent tears that accompany the words of a child who refuses to look at his amputated leg and screams at his mother, “I want to cover my leg.”
