In Gaza, obtaining water and soap has become a daily obsession for displaced residents living in worn-out tents, as these two items have turned into symbols of the daily struggle to survive. For many children, the dream now is to go to sleep without dust sticking to their faces or sweat stinging them in their sleep, to wake up to the scent of soap instead of smoke and dampness.
