UNICEF spokesperson in Palestine, Kazem Abu Khalaf, announced that 13,000 children in the Gaza Strip have entered a state of severe malnutrition during the month of July.
In press statements made Thursday, Abu Khalaf also revealed that 40% of pregnant and breastfeeding women in Gaza are suffering from acute malnutrition.
He noted that the entry of 600 aid trucks daily over several months might help restore some balance in the Gaza Strip.
