Outside the examination rooms in Gaza’s hospitals, dozens of critically injured civilians with severe spinal cord injuries, leaving them unable to move, are crowded in every day as a result of Israel’s genocidal war.
The suffering of patients and the wounded is compounded by the destruction or shutdown of more than 80% of the hospitals and medical centers, pushing the healthcare system to the brink of total collapse.
