A federal judge ordered Mahmoud Khalil to be released on bail.

The former Columbia University student and Palestinian activist has been held by the Trump administration, in a Louisiana detention facility, since March.

BREAKING: A federal judge has ordered the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia grad detained for 3+ months. The judge said his arrest appears to be unconstitutional retaliation for pro-Palestinian speech.

Khalil hasn’t been charged with a crime.
