Israel launches waves of airstrikes inside Iran as region braces for retaliation

The Israeli air force conducted strikes inside Iran early Friday local time. The Israeli military said in a statement that it had launched airstrikes against “dozens of targets across Iran related to the nuclear program.”

Explosions were reported in the Iranian capital, Tehran, as Israel changed security guidelines for its citizens, declaring a state of emergency.
